Eliminating Unwanted Noise from Your EVP's
When performing EVP sessions, it is always a good idea to set your recorder down on something soft. Sound waves can travel through solid surfaces just like they can travel through the air. By placing your recorder on a hard surface, especially in rooms with hardwood floors, allows your recorder will pick up these additional noises. For example; remember when watching old westerns where the train robber would put his ear to the rail and listen for the train. By sitting your recorder directly upon a hard surface, you are accentually doing the same thing. Try setting your recorder on something soft; you will be surprised how much-unwanted noise and distortion you will eliminate from your EVP’s.
