The Human Eye and Our Natural night Vision
Humans have a natural ability to see on the dark, but it takes about thirty minutes for the rods and cones in our eyes to adjust. The problem is that our eyes will immediately adjust back to normal as soon as they are exposed to any light source. So in low light or dark situations, give your eyes time to adapt, and avoid any light source such as a camera flash our flashlight. During paranormal investigations, I see a lot of ghost hunters stumbling around in the dark, using their flashlight and snapping pictures, then claim afterward they never saw anything. You will be surprised at how much you will notice if you sit still and observe using your natural senses. There is a passage in one of my favorite songs by Regina Spektor; “taking steps is easy, standing still is hard.” This is definitely true about ghost hunting.
