The first image was captured during our investigation of the Peabody Opera House in 2016.  The photo was taken in the main auditorium.  In the balcony is the apparition often referred to as the “Mary.”  It is said that Mary has been haunting the Peabody Opera House since it was first built.  The black and white folders are from the Missouri History Museum Photographic Archives.  These photos were taken in 1934, just after construction and before the building was open to the public.  Mary can be seen, along with other ghosts that are said to haunt the Peabody Opera House to this day still.
